Computer Aided Design

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

Computer-aided design (CAD) is the use to create 3D designs of objects in computer also known as Computer-Aided Drafting, It can be used to create real or virtual objects. CAD involves manual drafting of technical and engineering drawings, and it helps to create dimensional object.Mostly CAD is used for industrial purpose and including automotive, shipbuilding, and aerospace industries, these day CAD is widely getting used in movies for special effects and for animations.
CAD allow designer frequent rotations of object in three dimensions so design can be check from every view like top/right/left/bottom view, from desired angle object can be checked, even user can look from inside of object. CADD — computer-aided design and drafting dynamic used for detailed engineering of 3D models by using mathematics modeling and calculation.
The benefits of Computer-aided design are it help in a reduction of the cost while developing the products and the time required to run tests there is also the advantage that conceptual designs can be modified instantly as the tests progress. It save both costing and time for examples design of the aeroplane wing.
