Free Computer Software

Computer is machine/system which combines both hardware and software,Software are intangible parts ,its like soul of computer ,without good software we are not able to do our work properly in time in computer.Machine are there to help human so we people got right to used those machines and software for welfare of human.Then there come the idea of free software so user can modify it and can used them according to their needs and wants.
Free software,“Free software” is a matter of liberty, not price. To understand the concept, you should think of “free” as in “free speech,” not as in “free beer.”
This above line show us the real meaning of free software and there is users' freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, change and improve the software.
Four essential freedoms that are needed to be free software are:

1. The freedom to run the program, for any purpose (freedom 0).
2. The freedom to study how the program works, and change it to make it do what you wish (freedom 1). Access to the source code is a precondition for this.
3. The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor (freedom 2).
4. The freedom to distribute copies of your modified versions to others (freedom 3). By doing this you can give the whole community a chance to benefit from your changes. Access to the source code is a precondition for this.

Richard Stallman , the founder of the Free Software Movement in 1983 .Later on 1985 establish Free Software Foundation the organizational structure to advance his Free Software ideas.
